BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Sunday received a third email threat, allegedly from the Islamic State in Kashmir, in which the sender warned the former India cricketer against trusting the Delhi Police. "IPS Shweta and the Delhi Police cannot uproot anything. There are also spies in the police. "All information about you (sic) has been received," read the latest email received on Sunday at 1.37 am.

NDMC approved on Sunday an extension of the scheme that allows residential societies under its aegis to receive free water up to 20 kilolitres per month. The Delhi government launched its flagship program in 2013, which provides 20,000 liters of water free of charge. The full amount is charged to a consumer only if their monthly water consumption exceeds 20KL.

As the mercury was expected to plummet to 10 degrees Celsius, Delhi's Air Quality Index remained in a severe category on Monday morning. Central Pollution Control Board data shows the hourly air quality index was 407 at 7 a.m. On Sunday, the 24-hour air quality index was 405 in the severe category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 to 100 "satisfactory", 101 to 200 "moderate", 201 to 300 "poor", 301 to 400 "very poor", and 401 to 500 "severe".

On Sunday morning, several birders wore binoculars around their necks and carried cameras with them to count winter bird species across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). Twenty birding teams of over 150 birders visited hot spots like Sultanpur, Mangar Bani, Bhondsi, Sanjay Van, and the Yamuna floodplains to record rare sightings.

 Gopal Rai, Delhi's environment minister and the party's state convenor, said on Sunday that his party will begin its campaign for the municipal elections on Thursday. Rai said that the "MCD Badlaav" campaign has been assigned to the office-bearers and that mobile applications will also be used to support the drive. In each division, a coordinator will also be appointed, Rai said.
